Stephanie Lauder has been a supportive member of our community for many years.

On May 27th, 2020 at just two years old, her son Benji was diagnosed with a rare and incurable brain tumour, DIPG. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is a highly aggressive cancer with a 0% survival rate. Stephanie and her husband James have been living any parent’s worst nightmare.

Throughout the last two years, Benji has undergone countless rounds of radiation and an experimental drugs that has kept his tumour at bay.

On the 2-year mark of Ben’s diagnosis, James and Stephanie started to see a rapid decrease in his sight and motor function. Unfortunately, at this time, there are no further treatment options. While the world has been blessed with Benji for the time we’ve had, the Lauders now are preparing for the inevitable.

There is so little that we can do to help in this situation, what’s most important is that Benji and his big sister Hazell have their mom and dad’s focuse on them.

Providing financial support can help them do this and ease their burden, even just a little.
