My passion for movement started at a young age. As a child, I was constantly encouraged to be active, which lead me to participate in every sport available, including dance, soccer, track and field, and swimming. As a young adult, my focus shifted to fitness and conditioning and I pursued a number of fitness conditioning trainings. After joining my mother for a yoga class, I found myself immediately captivated, which began my inner journey to examine the connections of mind, breath, and inner self expression. Through yoga and movement, I hope to embolden my students to be more present and to tap into the beauty of life and inner potential with each breath and movement. I encourage my class to slow down, tune into their body, and learn how to understand their inner whispers and how to nourish them. Coming from a fitness background, my home is functional vinyasa krama and I focus on creating alignment and strength while matching breath to movement. I love yoga for its continuous teachings and it brings me great joy to be able to share this passion with others and help them on their journey. I completed my first yoga instructor training in 2016 and have gone on to complete an additional yoga teacher training, various functional movement trainings, and mat pilates certification. In addition to teaching weekly classes at One Yoga Victoria and Third Space Movement, I also teach a variety of private clients.
