Becca R.
Victoria InstructorMy name is Becca Rudyk. I am a coffee professional, a mother of two boys and a wife. I have always been very active, playing volleyball, running and hiking. All of these high adrenaline, high impact sports eventually took their toll on my body. In my search for a solution to the pain I was dealing with due to sports injuries and the repetitive strain of life that affects many of us, I found yoga. I started practicing yoga on a regular basis in 2011 at Moksha Victoria (now Lab Victoria), the studio where I would eventually complete my YTT (200 hrs). After a month of regular practice, I was hooked! I was starting to find relief from the pain I had been experiencing for years and I continued to get stronger as the months went by. As months of practice turned into years, I noticed that yoga was affecting my life in ways I had not anticipated. More than relaxation and pain relief, my practice began to reach beyond the physical, to the mindful and spiritual layers of my Self. Through breathwork and meditation, the benefits of yoga started to carry over into my life off the mat. I completed my yoga teacher training in June of 2024. I have a background in teaching and have always worked very closely with the public and my community. As a yoga teacher, I strive to bring authenticity and acceptance to the classes I lead, so the students in my classes feel free to bring their own true selves each class. I decided to become a yoga teacher because I have experienced so many gifts in my own life from practising yoga. Through teaching yoga, I hope to share these gifts with my community.
